Land Acknowledgement

United Way of Yellowstone County recognizes that the community we live in and serve are in the aboriginal homes of numerous tribes including the Assiniboine (Nakoda), Blackfeet (Amskapi Pikuni), Northern Cheyenne (Tsetsêhesêstâhase/So’taahe), Crow (Apsaalooke), Gros Ventre (A’aninin), and Sioux (Dakota/Lakota). We acknowledge their past and continued contributions to this area and value the opportunity to work with community partners to improve quality of life for all residents on their traditional land.
